My XPS 15 (L521X, Mid 2012) originally came with Windows 8. I upgraded to Windows 10 and lost the ability to adjust the brightness of my screen. Windows 10 installed the latest version - 10.18.10.4252. Nothing wrong with the UI - the slider works - it just has no effect on the screen brightness. I've tried installing the drivers provided by Dell for Windows 10 (version 10.18.10.4242) but they don't work either. The only resolution is to install drivers provided by Dell for Windows 8.1 (version 10.18.10.3262).
